Answer
World War II was the deadliest military conflict in history. It lasted from 1939 to 1945 and involved 30 countries from every part of the globe. World War II killed around 70 million people or 4% of the world's population. Historians argue over the exact numbers, so most of the following figures are from "The Fallen of World War II." It's more than the deaths incurred for all wars since then combined.
The United Nations was founded in 1945 to prevent another conflict with the horrific consequences of World War II. A controversial organization from the start, the UN has nonetheless encouraged disarmament, promoted human rights, fought poverty, and worked to promote peace worldwide. Its pursuit of stability and global humanitarian efforts also led to the World Health Organization. WHO was formed thanks to a declaration that emerged from that first meeting of the UN, setting the control of malaria, tuberculosis, and sexually transmitted diseases as its initial priorities. As the twentieth century progressed, the size of the United States Federal Government expanded dramatically. This naturally resulted in the Vice President having to take on more of the responsibilities that the President simply didn't have time to take care of.
One way in which the Federal Trade Commission (1914) and the Clayton Antitrust Act (1914) are similar is that both "<span>(2) attempted to correct abusive business practices," since they both aimed at curbing the monopolies that were dragging the US economy down. </span><span />
Constitutionalism refers to a political structure of a state based on the constitution, as the name itself says. A constitution is the most important legal document in a country, listing the rules and laws that everyone, be it regular people, institutions, or the president himself has to follow. Constitutionalism was created to make people equal, to protect their natural rights and guarantee them liberty in the country they live in.
On the other hand we have the divine right of kings. It is a concept which is quite opposite to that of constitutionalism. As the name itself says, the divine right of kings assumes that king was sent to earth to rule instead of God himself. Given that God doesn't have a physical presence in our world, he has chosen kings to be his representatives on Earth. Thus, the king has every right to do whatever he pleases, without having to think about constitutions, governments, or the feelings of his subjects.
I believe that America is based on the principles of constitutionalism, mostly because it never had a king, but was rather a democratic republic from the very beginning.
