We can tell that Eisenhower was a conservative, because he vehemently opposed the Soviet Union and introduced the domino theory, which was the belief that communism would spread to countries neighboring communist countries. Conservatives are very capitalist and were very afraid and against communism, which they associated with tyranny. Eisenhower was on the other hand a civil rights activist, sending troops to desegregate public schools in Little Rock, Arkansas. He equally desegregated the army in two years and set up NASA, so that their could be peaceful aeronautical innovations.
