History

Okay this is going to be long....
The US gov was initially hostile to the Soviet leaders for taking Russia out of WW1 and was opposed to a state ideologically based on communism. Relations between both were driven by complex interplay of ideological, political, and economic factors which had led to shifts between cooperation and bitter rivalry. The economic similarities between the two would be hard to explain for example the USSR in the 1920s was in shambles after the revolution against the Czar, defending Germans, and a civil war. We can then take into context with the economy of the USA in the 1920s which was roaring until the crash of 1928-1929. Showing us that both had their up and downs however you can’t compare their criteria to each other since you have to know political and economic ideology of the person comparing it.
