Answer:

Basically , they cut down tress faster then they could grow back. This ruins photosynthesis (The processes that turns carbon to oxygen) . So without the process that turns carbon to oxygen, the carbon will start to build up causing all organisms that depend on oxygen to have a harder time taking in the proper amount of oxygen they need. This may not kill them instantly but can definitely weaken a lot of there systems and result in a shorter/below average life span.
