Why did many boomtowns turn into ghosts towns
Anastaziya [24]
Boomtowns become ghost towns because the economic activity that supported it once, have failed. There's other reasons too like, human-caused disasters such as flooding, prolonged droughts, government actions, uncontrolled lawlessness, war, pollution, or nuclear disasters. Mining also causes people to leave when they can't produce anymore gold and silver. When the Gold Rush ended, the prospectors didn't provide business for towns anymore.

Hope I helped :)

The correct answer is Stimulation of the vagus nerve.

If you stimulate the vagus nerve, the parasympathetic system that connects it all has an impulse that travels to the heart and it slows down the heart. If you stimulate the sympathetic in any way you will actually increase the heart rate which wouldn't be good for the patient.

What would happen if you fasted for a week
AlekseyPX

Answer:

Explanation: One thing is for sure: you would have a tremendous amount of weight loss. Water weight burns faster than that of the weight from what you eat. Without supplementing your body with other sources such as protein, calcium, sodium, and so forth, your body would start to consume itself, due to a lack of proper nourishment. On a psychological scale, it would cause your mind to have a whole lot of hallucinations, and anemia.
