The constitution, as written in 1787, did not have a bill of rights and did not embrace the idea of democracy as being needed at

all levels of government. Describe how 'democratic' the original constitution was for the following parts of the government. The House of Representatives, the Senate, the Presidency and the Supreme Court. the government at the time did not want a strong leader/ give all the power to a single person . the reason for that is they did not want a king rulling them like before, keep in mind that they were originally from england.

the house and the senate basically wanted to keep all the power and use the president as figure head .. an important thing to note is *** the president gained more power after each election. and congress has continued to give the president more power as well m
