<u>Given </u><u>parameters</u><u> </u><u>:</u>

  • Camille is 7 years older than Donny
  • Donny is 4 years younger than Tommy

<u>To </u><u>find </u><u>:</u>

  • Total ages of the three people

<u>Solution</u><u> </u><u>with </u><u>details</u><u> </u><u>:</u>

Let us take the age of Donny as x years - i

According to the given question we have ,

  • Camille's age = x + 7 years
  • Tommy's age - 4 = Donny's age
  • Tommy's age = Donny's age + 4
  • Tommy's age = x + 4 ( from i )

Total ages of three people = Sum of their ages

  • Camille's age + Donny's age + Tommy's age
  • x + 7 + x + x + 4
  • 3x + 11

1 Solve for the unknown variable:
Burka [1]

Answer:

Approximately 6.4

Step-by-step explanation:

We can use the pythagorean thereom here, that tells us (a^2)+(b^2)=c^2. C is the hypotenuse, the side opposite from the right angle, while a and b are the other sides. We can insert 5 and 4 as a and b, and solve for c

:(5^2)+(4^2)=c^2

:25+16=c^2

:41=c^2

:sqrt(41)=6.4=c              (We square rooted both sides. 6.4 is only rounded to the nearest hundredths place.) Hope this helps!
