so that Bill gets 4.5x

Chloe = 2.5x

So that the expression to calculate each amount gooten will be

10.5x = 399

x = 399/10.5

x=38

Therefore, Ann gets  = £38

Bill gets =4.5 x=   4.5 x £38 = £171

Chloe gets=2.5x =2.5 x £38  = £95
