He paid $5.83 to make each shirt and sold each shirt at a marked-up price.
Naddika [18.5K]

we know he made a profit of 1834 for 200 shirts, let's divide those to see how much profit per shirt

\cfrac{1834}{200}\implies \cfrac{917}{100}\implies 9.17

so he made a profit of 9.17 per shirt, now profit is surplus value, value beyond the cost, we know its cost was 5.83 per shirt, so if we take 5.83 to be 100%, how much is 9.17 off of it in percentage?

\begin{array}{ccll} amount&\%\\ \cline{1-2} 5.83&100\\ 9.17&x \end{array}\implies \cfrac{5.83}{9.17}=\cfrac{100}{x}\implies 5.83x=917 \\\\\\ x=\cfrac{917}{5.83}\implies x \approx 157.29

Compute the probability of event E if the odds in favor of E are (A) StartFraction 20 Over 27 EndFraction (B) StartFraction 25 O
vovikov84 [41]

Answer:

A) 0.4255

B) 0.5813

C) 0.5588

D) 0.7241

Step-by-step explanation:

Assuming that the probability for each case is the same, we can calculate the  probability by dividing the number of favourable cases with the total amount of cases. You can find the total amount of cases by adding the favourable ones with the non favourable ones, so, the probability of each case would be:

A) 20/(27+20) = 20/47 = 0.4255

B) 25/(18+25) =  25/43 = 0.5813

C) 19/(15+19) = 19/34 = 0.5588

D) 21((8+21) = 21/29 = 0.7241

What’s the answer to n
Ksju [112]
Hello there!

I see you got some work done already, but I guess you just wanted to double check! :)

3n + 8 = 20

3n = 20 -8 (Subtract 8 on both sides).

3n = 12 (Combine like terms).

n = 4 ( divide both sides by 3)

There you have your answer! :D

Hope this helped!
