1. One of the most important immigration laws that affected legal and illegal immigration is the Act of 1965. They demolished the quota for immigration which allowed for more types of people in. Many people snuck on boat and had family members create fake papers to help them.

2. If you were illegal it lowered your chances of getting a job and making a living. If you couldn't make a living then you couldn't stay.

3. Illegal immigration could be fixed by regulating the amount of people allowed in each year. You could also hire more efficient people to make green cards. People tend to get more impatient the long they have to wait. If you set up appointments and tell them they can come back on this date to get accepted then it wouldn't be much of a concern. You could also create a camp for immigrants. Have a school, hospital, lodging, etc. and make them have a safe place to stay while they wait to be verified.

Why was it wrong for the air traffic controllers to go on strike during the Reagan administration? They did not need higher wage
AleksAgata [21]
Back in 1981, for those of you who remember, August 5 was the day that then-president Ronald Reagan fired more than 11,000 striking air traffic controllers. The air traffic controllers were fired two days after their union, PATCO, declared a strike. They were demanding a pay raise, a shorter workweek, and better working conditions. It was a move that some historians say laid the groundwork for today's assault on labor. Hope that helps, but if not visit this ∨

Why was that a problem with Voltaire?
NeX [460]

Answer:

Why was what a problem with him???

Explanation:

Many of his most famous works were banned.

Since his writing denigrated everything from organized religion to the justice system, Voltaire ran up against frequent censorship from the French government. A good portion of his work was suppressed, and the authorities even ordered certain books to be burned by the state executioner. To combat the censors, Voltaire had much of his output printed abroad, and he published under a veil of assumed names and pseudonyms. His famous novella “Candide” was originally attributed to a “Dr. Ralph,” and he actively tried to distance himself from it for several years after both the government and the church condemned it. Despite his best attempts to remain anonymous, Voltaire lived in almost constant fear of arrest. He was forced to flee to the French countryside after his “Letters Concerning the English Nation” was released in 1734, and he went on to spend the majority of his later life in unofficial exile in Switzerland.
