Find the greatest common factor: 4ab^2 c^4-2a^2 b^3 c^2+6a^3 b^4 c
Tatiana [17]
Well the GCF is the number that can be used to simplify, or that fits in all of your numbers for example this are all small numbers so 2 should fit in all of them 2 fits in 4 two times 2 fits in 2 one time and 2 fits in 6 three times now lets check our variable, to find the GCF of the variable first chekc if they all have the same if they don't u can't get none of taht variebles out, but if they repeat in all like the a u will take out the smallest amount out, for example the a as one in the degree of 1 the other in to the 2 degree and the last one to teh 3 degree well the smallest degree will be 1 so u will only take 1 a out so now ur GCF looks like 2a... Lets check the other variables, b is used in all of them and the smallest degree is b2 so we will take out 2 b's out so now my GCF looks like 2ab2 now lets check our last variable the, the c has the smallest degree of 1 so we will only take 1 c out
this means our final GCF is "2ab2c"

Hoep this helps

At which root does the graph of f(x) = (x – 5)3(x + 2)2 touch the x-axis?
Sauron [17]

Answer:

x = -2

Step-by-step explanation:

The root will touch the axis and bounce off when the exponent is even. In that case, that means (x + 2)² is the binomial that will bounce. Therefore, the root which bounces and touches the x-axis is x = -2.

I don't understand this question, what exactly is it asking? How do I solve it?
goldenfox [79]
This question is saying that there is some point on the line where the x-value equals 4. So when x=4, what does y equal. I think this should be enough for you to be able to answer it now. If you need more help, though, just let me know

If 2x + 5y=21 and x+y=3, then what is the value of x?
katrin2010 [14]
The answer is D I think
Given the 2 equations
2x + 5y = 21 → (1)
x + y = 3 → (2)
Rearrange (2) expressing y in terms of x, by subtracting x from both sides
y = 3 - x ← Substitute into (1)
2x + 5(3 - x) = 21 ← distribute and simplify left side
2x + 15 - 5x = 21
- 3x + 15 = 21 ( subtract 15 from both sides )
- 3x = 6 ( divide both sides by - 3 x = - 2 → D
X=-2
