1. Odysseus chooses to sail toward Scylla rather than Charybdis because Charybdis would sink the whole ship and kill everyone

2. They are like mermaids, but they're scary and want to kill you. If they sing and you hear it, you will be put under a spell and lured to your death.

3. Scylla is a really nasty multi-headed and multi-handed sea monster. The danger is that it could eat all of them.

4. Charybdis is basically a whirlpool. The danger is that the ship could pulled inside.

hope this helps :)

Sveta_85 [38]

Answer:

Helen wants to reflect on her experiences, while the biographer writes to inform people about events in Helen Keller’s life.

Explanation:

I think Keller's purpose was to show the fundamental humanity of people with disabilities, and part of that is explaining her internal life as a child who could not see or hear. ... The woman paints the child's experiences in her own fantasy.

Ksju [112]

Shakespeare transform a detail from Ovid's story about the awakening of a statue as Shakespeare had music awaken the statue in his play, while the statue is awakened by a goddess in Ovid's story. Thus option (D) is correct.

What is the theme of the Shakespeare's Ovid story?

Ovid's Metamorphoses, a collection of stories from Greek and Roman mythology on the theme of metamorphosis and change, which had a profound impact on Shakespeare, contains the narrative of Pyramus and Thisbe.
