The types of animal tissues are the Connective tissue, epithelial tissue, muscle tissue, and nervous tissue. Connectuve Tissues arises from the mesoderm. All connective tissue is made up of three major components: fibers (elastic and collagenous fibers), ground substance and cells.

Basic functions of connective tissues includes binding and supporting, protecting, insulating, storing reserve fuel, and distribution of substances within the body.
