I attached the midpoint formula to see what I'm doing. Let's go ahead and plug in our variables:
x = (3 + -4/ 2) = (-1 / 2) = -0.5
y = (2 + -4/ 2) = (-2 / 2) = -1
So our midpoint is ( -0.5 , -1 )
