This is to inspire and motivate young black women. This shift occurs when the BGM tries to counteract the negative vibes from people around young black women. Sometimes, the holding back from being what you want to be, is clouded by what is going on around us in our world.

Explanation:

The black community has criticized due to the fact that the author tried to make it seem like black young girls are superhuman and have special powers. The black community wants young girls to know they can be anything they want to be, but remember that you have to make choices of the decisions that are going to out there to make. Yes, BGM is good to encourage young women to be all that they can be. It just has a shift in the ideas about something being handed to you - or working for and aiming for all the goals of what you want your own future to look like.
