Answer;

-Photosynthesis

Explanation;

-Photosynthesis is referred to as the process where plants use energy from the sun, carbon dioxide, and water to make food. Photosynthesis is largely responsible for maintaining and producing oxygen content of the atmosphere of the earth and then supplies all organic compounds and energy which is necessary for life.

- Carbon dioxide may be removed from the atmosphere when it is used by plants and algae for photosynthesis, dissolved in water, or deposited in the sediments on land or in the ocean. During photosynthesis there is photosynthetic conversion of carbon dioxide into carbohydrates by plants, releasing oxygen in the process.

Answer:

B. chemical processes

Explanation:

The conversion of CO2 into carbonates is a type of chemical process.

A carbonate is a polyatomic ion with a chemical formula CO3^2- . From atmosphere CO2 can be easily converted into carbonates. Dissolution of carbon dioxide (CO2) into water (H2O) leads to the conversion of CO2 into carbonic acid (H2CO3) which comprises a carbonate ion. This carbonate ion then further reacts with either magnesium or calcium ion to produce calcium carbonate or magnesium carbonate which are carbonic salts of these metals.

The reactions are shown as under :

H2O + CO2 <=> H2CO3 (carbonic acid)

H2CO3 <=> H+ + HCO3^- (bicarbonate ion) <=> 2H+ + CO3^2- (carbonate ion)

Ca2+ + CO3^2- <=> CaCO3 (Calcium carbonate).

Similarly, magnesium can also react with carbonate ion.

Since each species is reacting chemically, these are regarded as a chemical process (chemical reactions).

What is the primary function of a neuron? _______________________________?
Elenna [48]
The primary function of a neuron is to receive messages from the senses and then respond with motor activity such as a finger being burnt and thpe arm muscle pulling the finger out of harms's way. So safety is part of it. Another function is to use sensory neurons to evaluate a scientific understanding of the world, such as determining which mineral is being looked at ie by its' colour, hardness, crystal system etc.

Are antimicrobial peptides produced by members of the normal microbiota.
IgorLugansk [536]

Answer:

Bacteriocins

Explanation:

Bacteriocins are the toxic proteins that are synthesized and released by the bacteria that are the part of the normal microbiota. These proteins have a molecular weight of 900 to 5800 Daltons. The bacterial species that release the bacteriocins are resistant against it.

Secretion of bacteriocins is an adaptive feature as these toxic proteins do not allow the growth of other strains of the same species or related species. One of the examples of bacteriocins are colicins that are released by <em>Escherichia coli</em>.
