Slavery in the Roman Empire was Select one: a. based on race. b. unproductive in the long term because it gave little incentive
expeople1 [14]

Answer:

B) unproductive in the long term because it gave little incentive for hard work.

Explanation:

Even if slavery played an important role in the construction of the Roman Empire, if we consider this practice in the long term it is very unproductive, because most parts of the slaves were performing tasks that were boring, disrespectful, humiliating or dangerous for the common citizens. However, these tasks were simple and didn't have a huge impact if they were taken out.

4.41 men
signed the Mayflower Compact. Why do you think the women didn't sign the
document?
krek1111 [17]

The reason the women didn't sign the Mayflower Compact document is "simply that the men still hold the notion of women not having the right to sign a contract when they just arrived."

This is evident because when the Pilgrims arrived in Cape Cod in 1620, the women in England had no right to sign contracts or other socio-political rights.

Thus, it was assumed that the women in the Mayflower ship held no such rights as well.

Eighteen women arrived with the Mayflower Compact ship in November 1620.

Hence, in this case, it is concluded that the reason women didn't sign the Mayflower Compact document is "that they held no rights to do so."
