The fisherman’s determination to outwit the genii results in the climax.

Explanation:

The fisherman fell into the words of the genii. After realizing this, the fisherman applied his wisdom and cleverly deceived the genii. The fisherman tricked the genii and the genii fell into the trap. The fisherman didn't lost the hope when he felt trapped, rather he build an another trap for the genii. This motivation of the fisherman helped in the progression of the plot. After genii goes inside the pot, the fisherman set new terms for his release. This builds the climax of the story.
