Answer:

See the answer below

Explanation:

The control group in an experimental study is the subject group that is not administered the treatment variable. The control group forms the baseline for comparing the effects produced by the treatment variable on the experimental group.

Thus, in this case, the control group would be the 10 mice that were not exposed to the radio waves.

The independent or the manipulated variable, in this case, is the exposure or otherwise of the mice to the radio waves.

The dependent variable is the actual variable that is going to be measured, otherwise known as the effect variable. In this case, the dependent variable would be the strength of the mice measured by their ability to push the block of wood blocking their food.

Since 8 out 10 mice and 7 out of 10 mice were able to push the wooden block in both the experimental and the control group, Bart's conclusion should reject the hypothesis that the radio waves make mice extra strong.

Bart's experiment can be improved by increasing the number of subject mice in each group. The more the number of subjects, the more the accuracy of the outcome would be.

nikdorinn [45]

Explanation:

Palaeontologists study the fossil and once they found that the fossil of an organism in layer 2 and 3. The fossil present in layer 3 is very similar to the fossil present in layer 2.

From this, it could be concluded that the layer 3 possible might be evolved from the fossil present in layer 2. The fossil of layer 3 might be a close relative of the extinct fossil of layer 2 as they could have shared a common ancestor.

Many possibilities could be explained but these two are more valid.

What happens if food items with excessive moisture are placed directly into hot shortening?
Olenka [21]

The excess moisture ( water) in the food items boils up immediately and busts both shortening and water around.

Reaction between hot shortening and water

Shortening are known to be fats at room temperature and are usually used in the baking of cakes and bread.

When placed in the temperature that is high, it melts to become liquid.

When you pour a food item that contains excess moisture on hot shortening, the water comes in contact with a higher temperature than the shortening's boiling temperature, so the water starts boiling immediately, and busts both shortening and water around.

paragraph explaining how energy flows through energy pyramid trophinc level producer primary consumer desompsor sun secondary co
Kitty [74]

Answer:

Explanation:

Okay so, The Energy pyramid is the pyramid and order which energy is used and recycled. At the top of the pyramid you have the Animals at the top of the food chain such as humans, lions, ect. At the bottom you'll have, of course, things at the bottom of the food chain such as grass. How it works is the grass turns the sunlight into energy, which the grass is then consumed by an insect such as a grasshopper. The energy that was given to the grass is now in the insect. The insect gets consumed by one of its hundreds of predators, which is then consumed by the superiors of the food chain such as ourselves. Then of course we die then that's where the decomposers come in. Just munching on your remains and converts into the energy for mushroom. Then it starts all over again.
