After 40 years of neoliberal economic structure that only impoverished the country, leftist candidate Andrés ManuelLópez Obrador won the election with more than 30 million votes, an impressive deed which established a record in people´s participation.
Mexicans were tired of the economic problems left by neoliberal politicians who applied the economic concepts of that system, which only resulted in inequity, poverty, and injustice for the Mexican people; getting the rich, richer, and the poor poorer.
Since Andrés Manuel López Obrador became President of México, the powerful and wealthy elite formed by businessmen have questioned his policies. On the other hand, most of the citizens have expressed their total support for what has been called "the 4th. National Transformation. (The Independence was the 1st, the Mexican Revolution was the 2nd, and the Reformation Era was the 3rd).

After revision, I realized I needed a strong conclusion. So I included one.
President López Obrador is finishing his second year as the leader of México. He has made some good accomplishments combating crime, creating social programs for the poor, and initiating major infrastructure projects such as the construction of a new airport for México City, the southeastern Mayan railway system, and new oil plants in the state of Tabasco.
Could he sustain the hard work for four more years to really change the face of México?
