Answer:

She meant that Auggie has a big problem that he will have to deal with all his life.

Explanation:

As you may already know Auggie Pullman has a physical disability that limits many things in his body, in addition to making him look deformed, which causes many cases of prejudice that make Auggie very sad.

Since it is not possible for Auggie to get rid of this problem he will have to live with it his whole life and Miranda believes that this problem is an unjust and evil picture of the universe dealing with Auggie.

In the first chapter we establish how this civilization functions. The boys shot down over the tropical island where the novel takes place, so you may visualize this island, whatever you feel like picturing there, it doesn't just have to be the thing written. I would for example imagine the smell of the sea. The boys are between civilization and savagery here and that is the main conflict in the novel.
