The Vietnam War was a conflict between the forces of the Communist North Vietnamese along with their Viet Cong allies and the Capitalist South Vietnamese. The U.S. supported the South as they did not want communism to spread but had to leave when it became clear that the Communists would win. The war caused widespread dissent in the U.S. as many American soldiers died.

The War led to some consequences such as:

Abolition of the Draft system - As a result of the widespread criticism of the government for using a draft to increase the ranks of the U.S. army, the government finally abolished the draft. It is not impossible that the system will be used again but that possibility is highly unlikely and this was as a result of the Vietnam war.
War Powers Act - The war also led to the reduction of the war powers of the U.S. President with restrictions placed on how long they could engage the army in combat without Congressional approval.

Queen Liliuokalani was a Hawaiian monarch. This coup was done in order to establish a new government and these Sugar planters wanted Dole as the President. U.S minister to Hawaii during that time was John L. Stevens and he was already aware of this coup and he called around 300 US Marines to Hawaii for the protection of the American people who lived in Hawaii.

On February 1, 1893, the New government of Hawaii was recognized by John L. Stevens under the leadership of Dole as President and John L. Stevens also proclaimed Hawaii as U.S Protectorate. Treaty of the annexation of Hawaii was submitted by Dole in the US Senate but the majority of the Democrats were against it as the majority of people of Hawaii were against Annexation. But during the Spanish-American war, there was the strategic use of Pearl Harbour which led to the victory of the United States and taking that into notice, The US Senate agreed to annex Hawaii and it became the 50th state of the United States.
