En France, l'école commence à 2 ans, c'est l'école maternelle jusqu'à 6 ans qu'on appelle aussi le cycle I.
Puis vient l'école primaire ( le cycle II et le cycle II), jusqu'à 11 ans.
Ensuite les élèves vont dans un collège , où ils y passent 4ans, avant de passer au lycée, ils passent l'examen du brevet des collèges.
Ils terminent leur scolarité , soit dans un lycée général , soit dans un lycée technique pendant 3 ans , à la fin desquels , ils passent le bac.
L'école est obligatoire jusqu'à 16 ans.
