A garden is shaped like the trapezoid below. What is the perimeter of the garden?
dangina [55]

Answer:

Remember that perimeter is the measure of the outer edge of a shape, or otherwise, the sum of the measures of the sides of the trapezoid. Representing the perimeter by P, and the sides as a, b, c and d, our formula is P = a + b + c + d.

Why uluru is in red colour?
Elden [556K]

Explanation:

The red colour of Uluru is due to the oxidation or the rusting of the iron-bearing minerals within the rock as it has sat there in the desert air for hundreds of thousands of years, said Dr Bradshaw. "The fresh rock which has not been in contact with the atmosphere is grey in colour."

Ganezh [65]
In Plate Tectonic Theory, the lithosphere is broken into tectonic plates, which undergo some large scale motions. The boundary regions between plates are aptly called plate boundaries. Based upon their motions with respect to one another, these plate boundaries are of three kinds: divergent, convergent, and transform.

What are seismic dampers and why are they important?
Gnom [1K]

The seismic dampers are mechanical devices that have the purpose to dissipate the kinetic energy from the seismic waves that are penetrating the structure of a building.

They are very import since they started to be used because they are able to minimize the damage to the buildings and avoid their destruction to a certain degree, depending of course on the strength of the seismic waves.

Before they were used, an earthquake that was not very strong was able to make huge damage on the buildings, and very often to totally destroy them. Since the introduction of the seismic dampers though, the buildings are able to withstand much bigger earthquakes without being damaged, which saves millions of lives every year, and also a lot of material damage is avoided.
