So now we have to solve for Y, to solve for Y we need to replace the X in the original equation (y= 2/3x- 5) for -12 in the given pair that was given to you. So you’ll have Y= 2/3(-12) -5, now filling pemdas we’ll multiply 2/3 and -12 and get -8 then we subtract 5 from -8 and we get Y= -13. So our final answer should always be in an ordered pair, we should have (10.5, -13) as the final answer.
