It makes me wonder about which groups in the world have influence and which ones do not, in Russia anywhere from 12-20 million Orthodox Christians were killed by the Soviet regime. The world is largely unaware of this, yet everyone knows about the holocaust. Why is this? It was the Civil rights Act of 1866 that was passed by Congress to protect the voting rights of blacks in the South, although it wasn’t very effective, because it couldn't be enforced.
Westward expansion was a natural progression for the nation because the most powerful entities came from the East (England). It is only natural that they spread out and conquer/capture/kill/annihilate those in their way (the true Americans/Native Americans). In doing so they conquered a whole land and taught them their ways while spreading West.
