Out of the many variations and genres of music, blues music affects society in a more positive manner, such as Mamie Smith's song, "Crazy Blues." These are put foward for many reasons, including bringing out original African American music, sharing simplicity and clarity, and influencing others of their own ways.
The revolution in Haiti took place when a large portion of the islands slave population rose against their colonial masters. Many Americans were concerned that the revolt would inspire slaves in the US to do the same thing.
