HELP PLZZ Im writing a book, and im stumped on my sentence, soo my character was just running to class bc hes late when he enter

s the class he says "Sorry im late", can someone help me make those words look like he was out of breath?
Do i make sense or no?

Some groups require women to be completely covered and men to be modest. Other groups focus more on prayer than image.
