However, the plesiosaur theory is not the only one. Many other ideas attempt to explain the sightings and "photographs." But two

separate sonar surveys of the loch have not found any evidence of a creature larger than a salmon. The last survey,1 completed in 2007 by the British Broadcasting Company (BBC), involved 600 different sonar beams. Using satellite navigation systems, the team made sure every inch of the loch was searched. The team found nothing.

I think that the answer would be To explain the ways people have tried to slove the Loch Ness Monster mystery because ot showed dufferwnt surveys. It only mentioned one theory so it is not A. It didn't explain why people still bekieve in the loch ness monster so it is not B. It did not explain my a plesiosaur is not Nessie so it os not D either. So the answer should be C

Answer:

To explain the ways people have tried to solve the Loch Ness Monster mystery

Explanation:

According to the paragraph, there have been several attempts to solve the Loch Ness monster mystery, apart from the plesiosaur theory, the sightings and photographs. In that respect, the speaker mentions two sonar system examinations, which detected objects under water and measured sound pulses in the loch. Finally, the last inspection by BBC in 2007 did not find any evidence of a large animal living in Loch Ness.
