Este hombre creía que Machu Pichu era la <em>Ciudad perdida de los incas. </em>En su viaje, Bingham atravesó dejó su campamento en un valle al noroeste de Cusco logrando así atravesar la selva que se solapaban con las nubes hasta que alcanzó llegar a una cordillera a más de 2.200 metros sobre el nivel del mar. En realidad este hombre no había <em>descubierto</em> Machu Picchu, más bien la había <em>redescubierto.</em>
