The correct answer is D) After the third state declared themselves to be the National Assembly.

The storming of the Bastille occurred after the third state declared themselves to be the National Assembly.

On July 14, 1879, the French Revolution started with the storming of the Bastille. The Bastille –riginally built as a fortress- was used in those years as a prison. The social class called the Third State stormed the Bastille. They were mostly small businessman and craftsmen, tired of the situation in France. They had been insisting King Louis XVI that they wanted more participation on the government decisions.
