The next scene of Ophelia’s grave, Hamlet was in great despair for losing Ophelia, asks several questions to know what his mother and uncle feels and what can be done for Ophelia now, and indicates that he always loved her more than anyone. This Hamlet’s behavior makes his mother to say that he is insane. Generally speaking, asking too many questions is known to put one at a life-threatening and endangering situation.
Hello, sorry this is a little late. Hopefully it help others who visit this question.
I believe the correct response to your question would would be the third option, "Who has not, a hundred times, found himself committing a vile or a silly action, for no other reason that because he knows he should not?" as it shows how the narrator expresses how he feels about the situation, and why he did what he did. By saying this, he seeks pity from the reader.
Hope this can help you, and have a great day!
