"What three questions should you ask first when determining if an online source is reliable" d. How current is the information?
Vilka [71]

Answer:

c. What do I know about the author’s credentials? What kind of site is it? How current is the information?

Explanation:

In any form of determining the credibility of an online source, it is first important to see how the source can be genuine and trustworthy. With the presence or availability of millions of sources in the internet, there is a question of how credible a source can be when it is needed to be used for any further research or citation.

In order to make sure that the online source is trustworthy, the questions that one needs to ask oneself is whether the author of that source is credible or not. His credentials play a huge part in determining the source's importance/ reliability, for anyone can write about anything but not everyone is a reliable source. Some may have copied from others while some may be just stating their own opinions. Moreover, if a person is/ have been an expert in the particular field and has done lots of research on it, then, his opinions are credible enough to be used for further studies.

Again, the site on which the source is posted and the nature of the information posted such as when and how updated it is also determines the credibility of the source. If it is the updated, and most recently posted truth about the source in a trustworthy site and not just some random site of the web world, then we can be sure of the authenticity and credibility of that source.
