Point symmetry is a 180 degree rotation around the origin.

It maps (x,y) to (-x,-y).

So (2,6) and (-1,2) map to

(-2,-6) and (1,-2), third choice

Answer with explanation:

The two vertices of Quadrilateral are which has point of symmetry about the origin =(2, 6) and (–1, 2)

Point of Symmetry about origin means distance from origin to the Original point and when this point is rotated by an Angle of 180° from that point , the two are equidistant from Origin.

Point (2,6) when rotated by an Angle of 180° ,it goes in third Quadrant having vertices = (-2, -6)

Similarly, When Point (-1,2) when rotated by an Angle of 180° ,it goes in fourth Quadrant having vertices = (1,-2)

⇒Distance of points (2,6) and (-2,-6) from Origin are Same.

⇒Distance of points (-1,2) and (1,-2) from Origin are Same.

So,the Other vertices of the quadrilateral are

 ⇒  (–2, –6) and (1, –2)

This is a compound shape. You can split it into x shapes. See Attachment

  • Rectangle - Red

Area of a Rectangle = L × B

L = 7

B = 6

7 × 6 = 42

Veronika [31]

Responder:

1/12

Explicación paso a paso:

¡No!

3

36

÷ 3 =

<u>1/12 </u>

Question 1) When multiplying powers with the same base, keep the base and _______________ the exponents.
nika2105 [10]

The rules are

x^a\cdot x^b = x^{a+b}

\dfrac{x^a}{x^b} = x^{a-b}

Let me show you why with a couple of examples: suppose we want to multiply

4^3\cdot 4^2

Since powers are just repeated multiplications, we have

4^3\cdot 4^2 = \underbrace{4\cdot 4\cdot 4}_{4^3}\cdot\underbrace{4\cdot 4}_{4^2}=4^5 = 4^{3+2}

Similarly, we have

\dfrac{4^3}{4^2} = \dfrac{4\cdot 4 \cdot 4}{4\cdot 4} = 4 = 4^1 = 4^{3-2}
