The answer is A.
When simplifying radicals, you can factor out anything that is a root. In this case we have a 4th root. We can break 144 to 16*9. By doing this, we can pull out 16 which has the 4th root 2 (2*2*2*2=16). Next, a^12 has the 4th root a^3. We can't do anything with the b^3 so it stays inside the root with the 9.

Joel scores in 80% of his games. His team is starting the playoffs, and if they make it to the state championship, they will hav

I feel like some information is missing here.

4 out of 5 games is 80%:
\frac{4}{5} *100%=4*20%=80%

So if we know, as a rule that "<span>Joel scores in 80% of his games.", the probability that he will score in 80% of his games is 1 - that is, we know it for sure</span>

Shelley's kitten weights 2 1/3 times as much as she did last year. She now weighs 21 ounces. What did the kitten weight a year a
Anika [276]

Answer:

weight of the kitten last year = 9 ounces

Step-by-step explanation:

Let

x = weight of the kitten last year

Weight of the kitten this year = 2 1/3 * x = 21

7/3*x = 21

7/3x = 21

x = 21 ÷ 7/3

x = 21 × 3/7

= 63/7

x = 9 ounces

weight of the kitten last year = 9 ounces
