Answer:1. The thesis is “the lack of adequate shut-eye can have detrimental effects on the health and academic performance of teenagers, increasing their risk for early morning car crashes, suicidal tendencies, depression, binge drinking, drug overdoses, and bad grades, research has shown”. This thesis contributes to the prompt by addressing how the later start time can help students. However it does not address the cons.
