How does the mortality pattern and age distribution affect the growth rate?

Business

Sav [38]3 years ago

Mortality pattern affects population growth rates because a high mortality rate will offset the population-growth effects of a high birthrate. It is important to remember that mortality patterns often disproportionately affect different groups. If the mortality rate were atypically high among fertile-age women, this would have an even more powerful impact on population growth.

Age distribution is also important to growth rate because it describes what percentage of the population is at a child producing age. An age distribution that is weighed toward elder people can expect a lower future growth rate than a young-slanted age distribution, since a larger portion of the young population will likely have babies in the future.

g Ms. White has entered the housing market in search of a suitable home. She has saved $10,000 for a down payment and has found
Svetradugi [14.3K]

Answer:

$89,418

Explanation:

It is important to realize that Ms. White has been honoring her mortgage payments for the 18 months that she owned the house.

So we can determine the amount of outstanding debt by constructing an amortization table.

Here, i will use a Financial Calculator to prepare the amortization table.

PV = $90,000

N = 20

I = 12

FV = 0

P/YR = 1

PMT = $11,172.93 (CALCULATED)

Period                 Principle        Interest        Payment            Balance

Beginning                                                                                $90,000

Year 1 End         $373              $ 10,800        $11,173               $89,627

Year 2 End        $417               $ 10,755         $11,173              $89,209

But for the Year 2 she only owned the house for 6 month (to 18 months).

Thus amount outstanding after 18 months is $89,418 ($89,627 - $209)

On June 30, 2011, Cole Inc., exchanged 3,000 shares of Stone Corp. $30 par value common stock for a patent owned by Gore Co. The
11Alexandr11 [23.1K]

Answer:

$135000

Explanation:

Cole should record the patent at $135000. The intangible asset is recorded at the price at which it was purchased. Net carrying value of $160000 in the books of seller is not useful.

At the time of purchase of intangible asset, the fair value of stone stock exchanged was $45.

So the patent cost is =

3000 shares × $45 per share = $135000.

Cole should record the patent at this value.

When engaged to compile the financial statements of a nonissuer, an accountant should possess a level of knowledge of the entity
NeTakaya

Answer:

C. Stated qualifications of the entity's accounting personnel

Explanation:

According to my research of the steps that are usually taken when compiling the financial statements of a non-issuer, it can be said that the accountant should know the stated qualifications of the entity's accounting personnel. This is because they should know what the qualification are of the accountant that initially made all the financial statements to see if they actually knew what they were doing.
