Las consecuencias de la Primera Guerra Mundial que contribuyeron al estallido de la Segunda Guerra Mundial, fueron las siguientes.

Una vez concluida la Primera Guerra Mundial, Alemania quedó muy debilitada. Las superpotencias Europeas como Francia y Gran Bretaña hicieron que Alemania firmara el Pacto de Versalles para formalizar el término de las hostilidades, y obligaron a que Alemania pagara por las reparaciones de los daños causados en la guerra.

Woodrow Wilson, Presidente de los Estados Unidos, tenía un plan de "14 Puntos" en el que sugería una serie de acciones para mantener una paz duradera en Europa, pero su plan no fue respaldado.

Esas condiciones del Tratado de Versalles generaron mucho dolor y resentimiento en Alemania, al grado de que la fallida República Weimar no cumplió las expectativas como gobierno alemán, y dio paso al surgimiento de Adolfo Hitler y el Partido Nazi-

Hitler se armó de nuevo, formó un poderoso ejército, y este militarismo contó con el apoyo del gobierno fascista del dictador Benito Mussolini de  Italia, y con el Imperio Japonés.

Hitler decide ordenar la invasión de Polonio en septiembre de 1939, y Francia e Inglaterra le declaran la guerra. Así comenzaba la Segunda Guerra Mundial.
