4 0

Answer:

B. 41

Step-by-step explanation:

Since He Earns 2 Points for each and he got 21 correct answers, that means 42 Points Correct.

He Loses 0.25 for each incorrect, and he got 4  incorrect, therefore he loses 1 point. and 42-1 is 41.

Trigonometry!! NEED HELP!!
olganol [36]
<h3>Answer: </h3><h3>x = 58</h3><h3>y = 32</h3>

=============================================

Explanation:

If angle x is the reference angle, then the side 9 is the adjacent side (it is the closer leg to angle x). The hypotenuse is 17 as it is opposite the largest angle. The largest side is always opposite the largest angle in a triangle.

-----------------

cos(angle) = adjacent/hypotenuse

cos(x) = 9/17

x = arccos(9/17)

x = 58.034281249203

x = 58

Arccosine is the same as inverse cosine, written as \cos^{-1}

Make sure your calculator is in degree mode.

-------------

Edit:

After finding x, we can find y

x+y = 90

58+y = 90

y = 90-58

y = 32

Each day, Steve walked 1/12 mile more than the previous day. The first day he walked 1/12, the second day he walked 2/12 mile, t
tino4ka555 [31]
1st  day                 = 1/12
2nd day                 =  2/12
3rd  day                =  3/12
4th day                 =   4/12
5th day                 =   5/12
6th day        would be = 6/12

If it continues in that order, the sum of the walks would total 1 mile when:

They all add up to 12/12

Add =       1/12 + 2/12 + 3/12 + 4/12 = 10/12

That is still not up to 12/12

So we add up the 5th day also =    10/12 + 5/12 = 15/12  =  1 3/12  miles

So on the 5th day the sum of his walks total at least 1 completed mile.

At least 1 means 1 and above.  As you can see the answer we got 1 3/12 is already more than 1.

Formulate a system of equations to represent this situation, with f = the amount of money that Frank spent and r = the amount of
GarryVolchara [31]
We have:

 f: <span>the amount of money that Frank spent.
 r = the amount of money that Rachel spent.
</span>
 The system of equations that represents this situation is:

 1) f+r=15.75
 2)r=2f

 Let's substitute r=2f into the equation 1):

 f+r=15.75
 f+2f=15.75
 3f=15.75
 f=15.75/3
 f=5.25

 Now, we must substitute f=5.25 into the second equation, as it shows below:

 r=2f
 r=2x5.25
 r=10.50
<span>

 How much money did they each spend?</span> The answer is:

 Frank spent 5.25$ and Rachel spent 10.50$
