When I was younger my parents were around a lot more. When I was younger my parents gave me the world. Now it's more of a go get it yourself type thing.

I am definitely alone more and have more free time. Like now my parents don't care what time I come home. If I come home late all they do is send me to bed.  There is also tons less punishment.

The successes and failures on the prohibition of the sales of cigarettes and alcohol during lockdown
emmainna [20.7K]

Answer:

The prohibition of the sales of cigarettes and alcohol during the lockdown

Successes and Failures:

a) Successes:

  1. The ban or prohibition helped to curb the spread of coronavirus.
  2. It eased pressure on health services, which would have increased with nicotine and alcohol-induced health problems.
  3. It forced the people to lead healthier lifestyles.
  4. It reduced some types of crime, especially sexual assault, property arson, and violence.

b) Failures:

  1. It negatively impacted economic activities of certain businesses.
  2. It promoted recourse to illegal sales and consumption of illegal nicotine and alcohol.
  3. It created black markets for these banned goods, thereby exacerbating public health concerns.

Explanation:

South Africa has witnessed some successes as well as failures in her efforts to curb the spread of coronavirus by banning the sales of cigarettes and alcohol in late March and July, 2020.  As South Africa has remained at the epicenter of the virus in Africa, recording about 13,000 deaths, the highest in Africa, the government of Cyril Ramaphosa decided to prohibit sales of these products.  The ban on the sales of these products have now been lifted following the gradual easing of the lockdown in the country.

Which of these does the speaker of "Walking Around" not use as a symbol of the artificial?
juin [17]
The correct answer is C. Automobiles

Neruda uses all three mentioned there, including stores and goods. Depending on the translation, you might find spectacles instead of glasses, but the point remains. He says he doesn't want to look at them no more and wants to lie still like stones or wool.
