Answer:

1. The lack of clean water can affect people's lives because people use water for everyday things. If people do not shower with clean water, then what is the point of showering at all? Also, people use water to cook, so if people are using dirty water then you could get sick. Some people do not buy water, so you would have to boil the water each time you want to drink it. This is how a lack of clean water could affect people's lives.

2. There are many things that could change people's lives positevly. For example, if you move to a new state where it is warmer. If you go to a new school you could make new friends. Also, somebody new could move in down the street and you could have more friends. Even something as small as eating your favorite meal for dinner could change your life. You could remember it as being amazing. These are how changes (small and large) could change somebody's life.

How does the active site of an enzyme cause a High rate of reaction..
Julli [10]

The active site of an enzyme would form enzyme-substrate complex thus lowering the activation energy of the reaction and high rate of reaction is found.

Explanation:

The energy required to start the reaction is activation energy. In our system enzymes catalyses the reaction by lowering the activation energy. When the substrate binds to the active site or catalytic site of enzyme, an enzyme-  substrate complex is formed. This complex reduces the time required  for substrate changing into product. The enzyme substrate complex results in the conformational changes and contributes in lowering of activation energy.

Compared to freshwater fishes, marine fishes: drink seawater and produce a large volume of urine. do not drink seawater in an ef
Andre45 [30]

Answer:

The correct answer is - tend to lose water by osmosis since their internal salt concentration is lower than that of seawater.

Explanation:

In freshwater fishes, the body of fishes has a higher salt concentration inside their body than the surrounding water, water enters through the osmosis process. Without any active regulation of this process, fishes would swell and get bigger and bigger. They have specialized cells called chloride cells in gills to take ions from water as they do not have kidneys.

In contrast, the marine fishes have a lower salt concentration in their body than surrounding water of sea or ocean and they lose water continuously and to compensate for this they need to drink water regularly.

Why do different biomes have different characteristic organisms?
Lady bird [3.3K]

Because the different environments permit some organisms to thrive, while others cannot. ... Similarly, a fish (extremely suited to its aquatic environment) can't survive out of water. A characteristic which allows growth in one environment will not necessarily allow growth in another.
