Answer:

A. 25y = $930.75

B. Each ticket costs $37.23.

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>Part A:</u>

25y = $930.75

We have this equation with two given facts:

25 × y = $930.75 and $930.75 ÷ 25 = y

The second equation which shows $930.75 ÷ 25 = y is not an equation we will use, because when you start solving it <em>using algebra</em> the following occurs:

$930.75 ÷ 25 = y

Multiply each side by 25.

$930.75 ÷ 25 × 25 = y × 25

$930.75 = 25y or 25y = $930.75

So you should answer with 25y = $930.75, because $930.75 ÷ 25 = y is simplified to that.

<u>Part B:</u>

25y ÷ 25 = $930.75 ÷ 25

y = $37.23

<em>Check:</em>

$37.23 × 25 = $930.75

We know our answer is correct.

Answer:

ticket cost = 37.23

Equation:- $930.75 = 25F

Step-by-step explanation:

$930.75 = 25F

F being the variable, representing the ticket cost

The total amount is equal to the number of seat per ticket

Part B:- 930.75/ 25 = 25F/25

F= 37.23

Therefore the ticket cost 37.23 for each ticket because they all cost the same

What does it mean by "write the multiples of 5 starting from 75" ??
barxatty [35]
When u think of multiples...think of multiplication tables...
5 x 1 = 5
5 x 2 = 10
5 x 3 = 15
and so on.....so ur multiples of 5 are 5,10,15..and so on

so multiples of 5 starting at 75 would be.....75,80,85,90,95,100...and so on....not sure how far ur supposed to count to...

If it takes 5 gallons of gas to drive 115 miles, how many miles can be driven using 7 gallons of gas?
elena-s [515]

Answer: The answer is 161

Step-by-step explanation: First you write 5 and 115 as a proportion, 5/115, (for every 5 gallons you can go 115 miles). Then you find out how much you can go with 1 gallon, divide by 5. Then multiply that by 7, since that is how many gallons you need to find out.

Hope this is helpful!
