The war affected both the United States and Mexico, however the United States also benefited while Mexico didn’t. There was financial disaster, enormous property damage, and a lot of lives lost. The United States benefited from the wars as they won a piece of Mexico's Land. This new land that the United States won over is now named Texas, that's why there is so much cultural diversity there.
