Answer:

B) 2N

Explanation:

Body cells have 46 chromosomes and are called 2N cell. It's a diploid cell.

2N = 4 chromatids. During meiosis, the 2N cell divides into 4 nonidentical 1N cells.

The trp and lac operons are regulated in various ways. how do bacteria regulate transcription of these operons?
Vlada [557]

Operon is not transcribed:

-lac operon: lactose absent

-trp operon: tryptophan present

Positive control transcription of Operon does not speed it up:

Lactose and glucose are present, -lac operon

Tryptophan is lacking in the -trp operon.

Operon is transcribed quickly through positive control:

-lac operon: lactose present, glucose not

Only negative control is used to regulate the trp operon. The operon genes are not transcribed when tryptophan is present.

Both positive control and negative control are used to control the lac operon.

Negative control: —Transcription is inhibited when lactose is missing due to the activity of the repressor protein.

—The repressor protein is deactivated and transcription is triggered when lactose is present.

Positive control: —In the absence of glucose, another regulatory protein (CAP) attaches to the lac operon's promoter, speeding up transcription in the presence of lactose.

Compare and contrast the growth of bacteria in different physical types of media
love history [14]
There are three physical types of media, theses are solid, liquid and semi-solid.
In liquid media, growth occur throughout the media. In solid media, there are firm surfaces for bacteria to form discreet colonies. This type of media usually contain 1-5% agar. For semi-solid media, this type of media has soft constituency at room temperature and does not flow freely.

In experiment 2, explain why the number of action potentials generated varied with increased stimulation frequency.
kifflom [539]
When there is more stimulation, there will be more polarization and depolarization occurring within the cells as they get generated. When the sodium channels are open from the electrical stimuli, it will open up channels that lead to influx of sodium for outside the cells, thereby gains more positivity. Then there is potassium channels that is negatively charged. So the potassium will force the closure of channels.

Kinetics focuses on studying the time and space factors involved in motion, such as velocity, whereas kinematics focuses on forc
Troyanec [42]

Answer: b. False

Explanation: It is the other way round when it comes to the definition of these terms.

Kinematics is the study of the motion of objects or points with its basic reference to factors such time, velocity, acceleration, distance, angle and so on. It is also known as the Geometry of Motion.

Kinetics is the study of the forces that are involved in the motion of an object. It deals basically with the cause and effect of that object.

Basically derived from Newton's Laws of Motion.
