I don't know if you have seen <u>Schindler's List</u> (1993) or not. It is a very drab black and white wonderfully acted academy award winning picture, but don't eat anything you are allergic to before seeing it. No movie buff can say they are a movie buff without seeing Schindler's List.
There is only one scene in color. It concerns a lost child dressed in red whom Schindler watches. It is at that moment that he is convinced that the Jews must be helped. His whole moral outlook is altered.
I think of exactly the same thing in this picture. The red completely dominates our focus.
