Huntington's disease is a hereditary condition in which your brain's nerve cells gradually break down. It affects your physical movements, emotions, and cognitive abilities. There is no cure at the moment, although there are ways to cope with this disease as well as it's symptoms. Genetic testing can definitively diagnose this condition, it may also help you decide whether or not to have children. Some people don't want to risk their children having this defective gene. Symptoms that may occur as the disease progresses include, uncontrolled twitching, difficulty walking, trouble swallowing and speaking, confusion, memory loss, personality changes, speech changes and decline in cognitive abilities. Sorry about the long post! Hope this helps ya'!
