The answer is: Information gathering and evaluation of the intervention.

The baseline data usually include the result of our performance before we enter the program. This usually be done using a numerical score for easier measurement during the study.

The baseline data later on would be compared with the result of our performance after we finish the program in order to see whether the program is a success or a failure.

Why did the British want the colonists to pay a greater portion of the cost of imperial governing?
dusya [7]

Answer:

The British felt justified in demanding the colonists to pay up in order to pay debts left from the French and Indian War.

Explanation:

You see, The British and French had colonies in the New World. Those colonies were like some kind of economic revenue that the nations could exploit. The French had a policy of trading with indigenous peoples while the English had a policy over dominating indigenous peoples and instigating wars. Those wars exacerbated mistrust between the indigenous chiefs and the colonists.

Decades later, The British and the French went to war in the 1750s over colonies. The British allied with the locals while the French allied with some other local tribes. In the end, the British won the majority of all French Colonies.

After the war, the colonists were taxed by Britain and felt since they were not represented in Parliament, they felt they didnt deserve to be taxed. This rift in opinion torwards independence can be attributed to all the colonial taxes that the british imposed on the colonists (future Americans)

Why was open trade a strength in the articles of confederation
Sladkaya [172]

The Articles of Confederation gave the federal government the power to declare war and to manage its own department of international relations. However, the Articles of Confederation did not give the US government the power to collect taxes nationwide, regulate interstate or international trade, or direct the government of these states. According to the Articles of Confederation, each state would be responsible for managing its own government and each state would also be the only one with the power to create its own taxes and laws.

Kara Walker's Installation Rebellion! (Our tools were rudimentary, but we continued.) Combine Harvester by Kara Walker

Walker's signature style was cut from a popular 19th-century portrait, the paper cut. It comes from silhouette figures. Her characters are often placed in surreal scenes dealing with violence and historical depictions of African Americans. Among these works is 85 Feet of Slavery. Slavery!

Walker's paintings truly depict contemporary racism and the social and economic inequalities that continue to divide America. More puzzles than books, these are complex, multi-layered works that slowly reveal their meaning over time.

Walker clarified that her intention as an artist was not to create compelling images or to pose questions with simple answers. She also explained her use of silhouettes, stating, "Silhouettes say a lot with very little information, but that's also what stereotypes do."
