If 60% of a KNOWN NUMBER is 180, what is the 40% of that UNKNOWN NUMBER?
Lana71 [14]

Step-by-step explanation:

I think you mean you want to find out 40% of a number,, when 60% of it is 180, so I'll answer that:

60% = 180

÷6

10% = 30

x4

40% = 120

(if you want to find 100%, multiply 30 by 10)

Hopefully this helps :)

zalisa [80]

If u wanna go by a technical term then yes, it can. The positive and negative side of a number. 4 example, -5. It's absolute value is 5. Positive 5's absolute value is 5 as well.

Now if u don't wanna be technical and don't want to use negative numbers, then no, it cannot.

Aaron wants to make a path to guide guest through the conservation area.He uses rolls of rope to make the path.He uses 3/4 of a
mel-nik [20]

Answer:

Aaron needs <u>2 more rolls</u> to complete the path.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Total rolls Aaron has = 4

Part of path covered by using \frac{3}{4} of a roll = \frac{1}{8}

So, in order to find the number of rolls required to cover the complete path is given using the unitary method.

Rolls used for \frac{1}{8} of a path = \frac{3}{4}

Therefore, rolls used to cover the whole path is given by dividing the rolls used for one-eighth of the path and the path covered. This gives,

=\frac{3}{4}\div \frac{1}{8}

=\frac{3}{4}\times \frac{8}{1}

=\frac{3\times 8}{4\times 1}

=\frac{24}{4}

=6\ rolls

Now, rolls required to complete the path is 6. But Aaron has only 4 rolls.

So, he will need 6 - 4 = 2 rolls more to complete the path.
