inna [77]

Answer:

"The Metamorphosis" by Franz Kafka tells the story of Gregor who was changed into an insect and his life living as a bug. But irrespective of his physical appearance, he never complains or questions it. Instead, he remained calm throughout.

Explanation:

In The Metamorphosis, Kafka makes it evident that Gregor endures a hellish existence as a travelling salesman. Being the sole breadwinner/ earner of the family also takes its toll. He yearns to be free of his job and his familial obligations. It seems as though his wish has been granted when he is transformed into an insect. However, Gregor cannot bask in the joy of his freedom because his physical condition causes the loss of his job and also the limitations of his abilities as an insect, and he is forced to live within the confines of his room. Gregor’s condition is also a symbol of his alienation and separation from society, which burdens him with too many expectations and unrealistic goals.

Anestetic [448]
The idea behind the Truman doctrine was that if the United States helped people who were a part of the War, that those people would become western oriented and would not work together with the soviets. The most notable examples are Greek and Turkey where a lot of US money was invested to help rebuild and prevent the spread of Communism.

Write a short paragraph to describe room in your house (at least 50 words)
Kisachek [45]

Answer:

My bedroom is on the second floor, next to my brother's bedroom. Although it is small, my bedroom is cozy and I like to spend my time there. It is also very bright and full of warm colors.

When you open the door, you can see a window with blue curtains and some small plants. There is a white desk with a red chair in the right corner, where I usually do my homework, and next to the desk there is a large wardrobe, where I keep my clothes. On the left, you will find a small bed, and besides the bed, there is a large shelf with books, photos, and many important memories. In front of my bed, there is a white bookcase where I usually put my laptop, pencils, keys, and other small stuff that could be hard to find. Someday, I would like to adapt it to my current needs, but I still like it because it makes me happy.

Explanation:

Description of any room should include: things it contains, where it is located, its importance to you, and another detail that readers might find interesting. You should provide some additional information, about the colors, positioning, organization, or things you can do there.

To make an adequate description, make sure your work contains well-structured paragraphs, with a lot of adjectives and explanations.

For which writing prompt would you use an explanatory thesis? A.) Analyze the differences between yoga and aerobics, and then ex
Leona [35]

The correct answer is A.) Analyze the differences between yoga and aerobics, and then explain which one is better for your body.

Explanation:

Explanatory texts focus on explaining or providing information to make clear a topic, process, or event. This form of writing is used in encyclopedias and similar that explain readers a topic. In this context, the prompt that requires an explanatory text and an explanatory thesis (position of the author) is option A as the section "and then explain which one is better for your body" shows the writer will need to explain or provide information to help the reader understand why yoga or aerobics are better, which might include providing information about health, psychological benefits, etc.
