Answer:

I think we have economically, but in terms of the racial issues we are really far from healing those. There are still "Americans" who raise the Confederate flag one day then yell about national pried being an American. The contradiction is angering, like they don't understand that the Confederacy was a rebellion. I think the tension will last as long as our civilization does.

which of the following does not describe the texans elected to a state constitutional convention in the summer of 1875?
Sveta_85 [38]

The texans elected to a state constitutional convention in the summer of 1875 residents interested in strengthening the power of state government.

The rights, functions, and prerogatives of the various governmental departments of Texas's and agencies were explicitly established by the Constitutional , including many issues typically left to the legislature, to ensure that the government would be responsive to the public will. A long bill of rights was included in the original 1876 Constitution. By hosting a Constitutional Convention in Austin in 1875, Texas's new Democratic governor, Richard Coke, and the legislature tried to repeal Reconstruction measures, decentralize power, and reclaim political dominance in the state during the 1873–1875 period of economic distress. In 1883, the Supreme Court invalidated the 1875 Civil Rights Act on the grounds that Texas's enterprises were not covered by the Constitutional .
